Biography

Maki Mannami is an accomplished singer, vocal trainer, composer, producer, sound designer, and arranger. Born in Osaka, Japan, Maki grew up enjoying many kinds of arts, playing the piano, drums, singing, writing songs, drawing, and dance. At 19, she moved to NY by herself and performed in a cabaret as a jazz singer, sung gospel at an African American church, and performed in an Off-Broadway theater as a chorus dancer. Mannami has released 4 albums from UK and Japan, then she toured in UK and France. Her songs were broadcasted in heavy rotation in radio programs in London, and BBC radio reviewed her as “Voice from heaven”. She has performed well known venues such as the biggest opera theater in England the Royal Opera House, Motion Blue produced by Blue Note and Club Ikspiari produced by Disney in Japan. Maki’s songs have compiled and released from various countries, England, Germany, and Italy. As a vocal trainer Maki has taught over a hundred students as a certified trainer in Yamaha Corporation, and also taught well known Japanese pop singers. Mannami also works a composer and an arrange, and she has worked with a number of business enterprises, SONY, Google, BMW, HONDA, Mercedes Benz, "Gran Turismo5" by Play Station3, FRED PERRY, FIFA World Cup, Itoki, NTT Docomo, and Amcrew. Maki has been composing for a documentary film in Vietnam, and also for a film in Los Angeles.
